NSS unit of UIT Pirappancode proudly implemented the “Shakthikaranam” initiative, a commendable community service project undertaken by the 2021-2024 batch volunteers. Through diligent efforts, the volunteers collected and sold scrap materials, utilizing the proceeds to construct a Kiosk. The ceremonial handover programme commenced with “Manava Geetham”, followed by a welcome address by Shri. Brijith DS. The Principal in-Charge, Smt. Tara S, delivered the presidential address, while Shri. Suresh Kumar, Health andEducation Standing Committee Chairman of Manickal Gramapanchayath, shared insightful remarks and formally inaugurated the Kiosk. Shri. Suresh Kumar then handed over the Kiosk to Smt. Krishnamma L, providing her with a sustainable livelihood opportunity, showcasing the volunteers’ dedication to community empowerment. Teachers, volunteers, and smt. Krishnamma’s family members also joined the programme, making it a heartwarming community event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Akshara RS, Senior Volunteer Secretary. This inspiring initiative serves as a shining example, motivating others to embark on similar community service projects and make a positive impact.
